these are the flowers i received from py on valentine's day haaa how romantic.
first i tot she was trying to give me the red rose sticker on the pillar of lift lobby of sgh blk 6.. then she said no n pointed at the potted ying liu.. wa i tot she wanted to give me a whole pot. then nope she corrected me and told me that she only wanted to give me one tiny white bit of the ying liu. thankyouverymuch. :)

we used to go back during wkends when the school is empty... then when it rains and splashes on the tables we'll do dui-lian stuff like open our umbrellas on the tables. we also like to enjoy a good meal of cup-noodles.. yw is q a cupnoodle guru, she gives v insightful opinion and evaluates each type well haaaaa then there's me n my earl gray post patho exam.. :)

preparing for my dage's wedding... stuff to bring over to the bride's!

today marks the last day of my cny celebrations i think.. haa i had alot of fun and tons of photos to upload but i need to find time for that..
there were my relatives, the YN pple's place, huay's place, had yu sheng w YN pple, and the judo girls came over today as well.. wow it's been a really busy cny and a fun one.
but now it's back to school...
after one wk of paeds i realized i've forgotten most of my paeds stuff sad to say sigh.. really need to buck up
but i love playing w kids altho it makes me realli tired. haaa i've officially cause my frens and possibly some parents to gape at me when i placed my stethoscope at the sticker cinderella's face on a kido's hand haaa called a little boy a "she" till his granny corrected me, and well almost walked into a wall after talking to a fren, almost flattened another classmate w the student lounge door, cause a stranger fellow researcher at sgh mro to gape at me when i lifted up a whole box filled w thick case files in front of him, wh got stunned too, i'm not called broad-shoulders for nothing i guess. i withdrew damn alot of money frm the atm by accident and cash deposited them immed after i find a cash deposit machine and did so many strange things tt pple ard me cant stop laughing haaa
well altho i'm glad tt i'm able to entertain the world w skills i got frm my tvbs training classes, i shud watch out and try not to do too many stupid things n try not to laugh too loudly on the bus when i watch just-for-laughs

a brand new week. hope it's an exciting one :)

so this is the end of my wonderful weekend. i wished it were longer.. haa

i enjoyed sleeping till i wake up naturally, with no need to wake up at 6am, which i'll be doing in 4 hours time haa. i enjoyed taking naps in the afternoon, a luxury that i hafnt enjoyed in a long while..

sat was spent going to buy cny stuff w my mama at ntuc in the morning. we timed ourselves so that we appeared at the store at 830 am when it opens.. there was already a crowd.. then my mama braved the horde of scary aunties, well she being one of them, to fight for the freshest ingredients for the steamboat we'll have on cny eve.. while i happily go buy at the cny goodies, candies, chocolates and shopped like a queen haaa.. i really enjoyed it. after a few hours at the store and getting everything we need, we set our for home w me n my mama each pulling a super heavy grocery trolley bk home. i'm q cui cause i dropped my carton of coke, on the pavement not once but twice n the 2nd time the carton was torn n cans of coke were rolling down the road... with me looking damn frantic trying to save them and strangers walking by laughing at me. hai felt like my george-of-the-jungle moment at korean again. my mama just say i'm useless.. guess i dont have the natural flair of the making of a housewife.. haaa
i spent hours decorating my yingliu which looks nice! :) so i'm now all ready to welcome cny.. after also helping my mama pack all the red packets haaa

i was also doomed to pack my room once again.. cause my patho notes are strewn everywhere, but sad to say i'm not done yet.. my mama's gonna scream at me if i dont buck up soon.. watched a couple of movies and helped out in the writing of the invitation cards for my bro's wedding..

it's been q an eventful weekend n cny is FOUR days away haaa
i love cny.. but i'm starting to realize mayb i like the things i get to do preparing for the festival more than the festival itself heh..

patho pros is finally over. well hopefully :) but watever it is.. it's been a long long month of studying and doing nothing else but going to sem rm 8 everyday where i watched both the sunrise n sunset sometimes. heh watever the results will be, i must say it's one of the most fun pros, where everything i study kinda helped everything else that i've learnt so far make more sense.. so i think it was an enjoyable learning time.

during the time i was studying 2 people i know passed away. one is a lady S. she was a patient i got to know over surgery posting more than a year ago, one of few patients i've got to know more on a personal basis. she passed on on tue, hope she's in a good happy place now. on the same day heath ledger passed away too. i didnt know he died even tho i heard my frens discussing about him while they were reading Life! only got to know on sat.. and i was really q shocked.. i think he acts well, from BB mountain days. i dint realize i watched him a long time ago in sec sch, when my classmates screened 10thingsIhateaboutyou in class. but i didnt remember him from that movie. when he was thinner and looked like a typical prettyboy. but sadly the lives of these 2 people ended. may they rest in peace.

i happened to watch GTO on crunchyroll today. apart from sorimachi n nanako, i found out some years bk that fujiki naoto also acted in it.. the cool actor from love revolution. and today i found out that oguri shun also acted in it.. as a timid kid that got bullied till he jumped off the sch roof. catch him at ep3.. oguri shun has really grown up now.. haa being hanazawa rui and sano izumi n kudo shinichi.. he's like the lead for many dramas!

it's pouring. usually it'll rain really heavily this time of the day.
the rain is so heavy i can barely make out punggol across the tpe.
it's always these kinda days when i'm glad to be home, safe and dry and protected from the storm haa

anyways today has been a busy day. we went to take a family foto at the studio that helps my dage and sis-in-law take their wedding fotos. i cant believe i forgot to take pictures during the process altho i brought my camera.. anyway it was q fun and my dage's suit look q cool heh.

stayed home over the wkend usu means low productivity in terms of pathology mugging. watched q abit of tv and managed to catch the movie John Q last night, till abt 3am.



i was just randomly surfing channels and watched something that showed an emergency room and i tot it was some random medical drama, but the show soon got me interested and i realized that it was a movie by denzel washington, about how a desperate dad, who cant raise enough money to allow his kid to get a heart transplant, and resorted to holding the E.R dept of the hospital w some docs and patients in there as hostages. it was a rather touching show who showed how much a dad would go through to keep his kid alive, he shoved a gun into his mouth trying to kill himself so tt his kid could get a donor heart. but it kinda ended well..

then i caught abit of Gracie's choice on hallmark.. love the kids in there..

ohmygod. this video is damn cute hahaha someone said they sound like rugrats. i cant rem how rugrats sound like but i rem watching it last time haa..

today i saw the ad at macs, that they are selling the prosperous/fortune/or something auspicious kinda pepper beef burger.. w curly shaky (wai dan gong) fries.. haa reminded me of CHP days the same time last year.. it was kinda near CNY and we also hang ard the macs opp the flats where we do our surveys and i rem eating such a burger. haa they always bring on the same kinda flavours according to each festival.

anyway i had a v busy weekend but it was damn fun
there was judo girls outing w my dear judo girls.. were we shopped and ate and shopped and ate and chill out for drinks.. i miss going out w them.. haa shall look forward to the next time we go out aft pros.

the food that was prepared by GANG was so good tt i cudnt resist having a 2nd lunch/tea.. there was soup, baked rice, salad, creme brulee, chardonnay... yummy!! and we just chill out at huay's place and had such a great time.. must send me fotos ya!

then i went to the wedding dinner at night and continue eating so in the end i ate from 12nn to almost 12mn. haaa but the food was really good, and i was sitting w 3 other old foggies :P (my grandaunt and granduncles) they are v cute and it was q pleasant sitting w them.. esp at a 8pple table muahah. the wedding was beautiful, i love the groom's speech. nothing to flowery and altho there were some stuttering because he was nervous, it was very sincere and just great.



this is the paternal side of my family.. my dad's siblings. they are a bunch of very funny people who love to laugh n drink. i really like them. the epitome of clinking glasses.. haa they'll go ard w wine/beer and just keep celebrating at all my cousins' weddings/my ahgong's bdae.. haa i think i got my funny streak and drinking habits frm them haaaa. they ll yam seng amongst themselves when they feel like it halfway thru the dinner. haa too bad these pix are kinda blur cause my camera ran out of batt and they kept moving so cant really take proper pix w my hp. haa my dad kinda got blk in the bkground and my 5th uncle resorted to carrying him haaa. he's the guy w the had sticking out and saying his usual.. YEAaaaa... :)

sunday i spent 3 hrs doing my hair.. choppped off q abit and got a new colour. and serendipitously met ny n py and went on to my ahma's bdae celebration.. had a good time catching up w some cousins, but after a while.. i kinda got bored n tired n dozed off :P kena scolded by my mama because of tt.. but there r like 3 obvious generations of grandkids.. the first one are in their 20s, the 2nd in their teens, and the last batch consists of very young and screamy girls haaa..

so i had alot of fun and didnt study at all for those 3 days.. so gotta catch up w my work!

so it's goodbye 2007 and hello 2008.
py says i gotta be grateful for staying out of trouble and not landing myself back at hospital at the turn of the year. i remember it was rather terrible puking my way into 2007 one year ago, staying in ttsh. my very first post of 2007 wasnt too pleasant and it's kinda angsty haaa.. and i re-capped through 2007 by looking at my blog and am grateful to have my memories compartmentalized into months.. alot of things i would have forgotten if they were not written down. was it ahtan we got me started writing on a blog? i tink so :)

anyways 2007 had been a fantastic year, learnt many new things, met many new people, made many new friends, but it went by so fast, in a blink of an eye, makes me wanna blink less this year, even if it risks me getting dry eyes. i think i've grown up abit, changed abit so i guess it's byebye '07.. ~*

hope 2008 brings me to new places, new people and keep me in awe. i always wish for happiness, so for myself, for those ard me and those i hafnt met :)

S diary is a movie made in 2004. i found a video clip on it randomly when i was watching some stuff abt gong yoo.. and found out tt gong yoo and kim sun ah (frm my name is kim sam soon) acted in this movie together and decided to watch it on cruchyroll.
it was just a romantic comedy at the beginning and i didnt really know wat the show was trying to say, but i must say the ending's really sweet and puts a smile to your face.
some surprises included janghyuk as a minor character that's kinda impt in the story, a giant robot tt holds your popcorn for you, and one of the main guys lee hyeon woo.. whom i found really familiar and it turned out that he acted in attic cat, one of the first few korean dramas i ever watched.. i remember his earring from the show vividly haa.. but it's a pity the actress in that drama committed suicide and we wont be able to see her on tv anymore.

i feel kinda tired from 2 days of having fun haaa.. so i think it's a sign to stop :p but anyway yesterday was alot of fun because i met quite a few friends within the same day.. went shopping at yahama with xunyu and had a good lunch at kpt... then met up with carmen and her frens to shop more and went to try the macho margaritas at cafe iguana again.. :) they brought me to martini firm, which used to be Daybed bar at mohamed sultan. it's a nice and cosy place with comfortable daybeds to chill on. although the drinks are abit pricey but i think the ambience is pretty cool. then i did alot of walking along river valley rd bk to clarkquay then boat quay to go see timmy at timbre and had a few drinks w my hia di ah tsui haaa.. thnx fren for sending me back to hougang after i missed the last train. although i still had a nightmarish dream about missing the last train this morning haaaa. oh and i had a serendipitous meeting with serene outside GAP along orchard in the afternoon.. haaaa it was a pleasant surprise to brighten my day :)

i have a mild gastritis coming up in a form of weird tummy discomfort probably attributable to the strawberry margarita, strawberry daiquiri, cosmopolitian, sakura and me trying out my frens' drinks. xS
sakura is quite a nice drink this is the first time i'm trying it and it's kinda sweet with lotsa lychee liquer n syrup. cosmopolitian taste abit like a sweetened cough mixture tho..

anyway timmy's q different now.. no nice drummer playing in the bkground anymore.. no fat-face-skinny-legs in berms at the side, just the lead singer n the younger spikey hair who looked like he put on some weight close up. and another guy playing other forms of percussion. the songs are more acoustic and relaxed, for the sligtly more atas crowd i guess. doesnt really feel like good old fri nites at substation.

it's time for pathology i guess :)

oh haha i forgot to write abt a joke i saw on a tv screen as i was walking thru clarkquay last night.

anyway i discovered tt k-ster doesnt have rm 4!! there's rm 1, 2, 3, then 5, 6... do u think it's like Number 12 Grimmauld Place where Muggles cant see n just think that it's a mistake in numbering? mayb if i ram my head hard enuff into the tiny strip of wall in btw rm 3 n 5 i might enter a magical place called rm 4? haaa or mayb some murder/mysterious death happened in rm 4 before then it's kinda cursed so they decide to re-number the room so as to prevent misfortunes frm happening? or issit just for luck cause the number 4 may sound unlucky to some pple? haaaaa
anyway it was a fun ktv session. ~*

CG 13 had our farewell lunch yesterday because it was our last day together as a CG. i'll miss them. really. after more than a yr together as a cg, they seem part of my
sch life already and they feel like brothers n sisters..

jianhong aka ah hong. he likes to wink and make "zuk zuk" sounds at u every morning. it's outrage of modesty but it always makes me laugh. the str leg skin traction round his neck is damn funny. haaa jh eats v healthy stuff n likes to sing boyband songs haaa.. i've been running after him my whole posting but it hasnt been reciprocated. hai there ll be no one left to be ham sup w me anymore :'( u must beware of strange docs n secretaries k!


darren aka 大人. he always says n does funny things haaa n his bilat ptosis allowed him to find his long lost relative, dr Q, during ONG. his pix w the speculum is fantastic! and him trying to pose behind the MP for pix is damn funny too. must drink coffee before lectures k! ;)
