yesterday was really a memorable day.. it was my dage's wedding! after a whole year of preparation, THE DAY finally arrived and i'm very proud to say that it pretty much went q smoothly and everyone was happy. :)

well the wedding frm my POV started q long ago, my parents were rather involved, from buying all the traditional stuff, the invitation cards, the guest list.. then there were the couple's brothers n sisters who helped out on the actual day.. i didnt sleep at all on fri night to the whole of sat.. the first bro daniel came at like 3am.. soon after i finished typing the guest list coz i needed to translate frm chinese to english.. coz i didnt wan2 b the limiting factor n i was afraid i cant wake up so i decide not to sleep at all.. then the 2nd brother came at abt 4am.. haa on both occassion my bro was sleeping, i just heard the bell, and some stranger guy will say, "I'm the brother" then I'll reply "I'm the sister" haaa macam like some code n i'll let them in.. i did my hair, my makeup, my clothes and when the rest of the brothers came at near 5.. we were ready to go soon.. the wedding car driver n my aunty (the "matchmaker") came n we set off at 520 to the bride's.. at 6am sharp, my bro n his brothers knocked on the door.. haa i actually did a countdown after calling 171* so exciting.. then there was a long time bargaining n eating strange stuff, doing exercises, breaking lock and we only got to get into the house after 1hr15min.. which was abit too long a time.. well my legs were getting tired but i'm not doing all the sai gang so not so bad

haaa then there was the singing n kneeling by my bro at the door, my job of serving them this dessert that my mum cooked, the photo taking, the cutting of the roast pig, n phototaking at punggol park haaa which i stayed in the car chatting w my aunt coz we were apparently the sister-in-law-dessert-bearer n match maker heh then they came by my house.. the bros n siss chilled out abit, i was happily playing daidee w t3 other brothers, john thomas n daniel before my mama scolded me for being unglam and made me go to the kitchen to helping the chopping of the pig haaa... but my poor orhlulu xiaogui almost got kidnapped when they suggested the winner of the game wins my pet.. haa :) subsequently many pple came... most of my relatives like aunty n uncles came for the tea ceremony.. abt 90 ppl? i dunnoe how many but they were all spilling out into the corridor.. the tea ceremony was q nice. the elders giving their blessing to the couple and my dad got them to kneel in front of our ancestors n they got 3 angbaos frm my greatgrandparents n grandma whom all passed away, i tot that was q sweet aww.. the buffet was not bad but i didnt eat much. oh n i got to know kokwee our photographer. he's really a nice friendly guy, v chatty..

i had to clear up all the rubbish n food,then soon aft my MCs came.. huay n serene.. thnx a million for agreeing to help out, wat wud i do w/o u guys haaa while they were discussing, i was paiseh to say i fell asleep in the loo after i bathed while sitting on the toilet bowl.. haaa only woke up when my mama tot i was in there for way too long n knocked haa.. at 4 i was there at the restaurant

uncle david did my hair n make up.. he propped it up real high at first i was q paiseh n distressed cause it looked like a spaceship propped on my head.. i got mixed review n a couple of strange look but in the end i was convinced that i was q cool and fun.. soon after my dear cousins also got their hair done so we looked like 3 girls caught in a torando haaa then elene came n HEAL got our unique hair design ahaaa at the reception table, it soon became a frenzy when the guests start streaming in thnx to the ushers n receptionists.. they did such a great job, which was really tough.. so special mention must go to my 10th aunt, peiyun, livia, angel, zhanxian, zhanming, kenny, elene helping me n my erge.. also siauhui's frens..

many people turned up 57tables of guests.. it was like the biggest scale wedding i've ever gone to. i guess it's mainly coz my dad's really sociable n knows alot of pple haaaa like 170 of his friends are q exciting.. my 5th uncle sang a few hokkien numbers before the dinner started, stunned a few of my bro frens who hafnt seen such rowdy hokkien-song filled weddings haa.. n we got a compliant frm a scary lady who turned out to be the bride's ex-collegue.. coming to complain that the hokkien songs disturb her n it was so loud she had to shout when talking. we were q stunned by her, but the prob resolved coz dinner was soon served n the ktv had to stop anyway haaa. my dad said he wont haf been bothered w her if she told him haa. :P

the march in, champange-yam-seng scene n phototaking all went really smoothly. haaa i was q touched when my 90yr old ah gong came up slowly onto the stage. then there was my ah ma.. n all my paternal uncles came up as the yam-seng team ahaa v exciting, then huay n ser made my dage kissed his bride for as long as the yamseng went haaaa

the phototaking was really fast n efficient w john n 3 other fren's help.. we got like 2 tables ready in advance before proceeding n it was really q fast, we got all the phototaking done by abt 1045. well tt's cause my dad yamseng at each and everyone of his frens' table haaa

then there was good bye. my mama looked really pretty last night, she usu dont dress up but last nite everyone said she looked v nice :) even me n my erge agreed it was the nicest she dressed up all our lives knowing her. my dad was dashing in his suit as well. i was q touched at my dage's short speech n also looking ard at the merging of 2 families.. esp both my paternal n maternal relatives, almost everyone turned up n that makes like 180 people haa most of my auntie n uncles were tipsy n high at the end.. ser too haa if i dint haf so many duties i wud happily help myself to the free flow of wine haa.. but everyone walked out feeling happy n it was great.

the wedding ended w/o a glitch but something screwed up today n it's kinda my fault.
i gave my bro fastum gel for his thigh pain n it caused periorbital swelling that's q bad. sigh i knew of his drug allergies but i forgot that he's allergic to a particular NSAIDs n it turned out that i gave him Diclofenac. sigh i feel v bad abt it.. but just relieved that i didnt do that to him on his wedding day.. sorry dage.

so it's over, but it's a new beginning for my bro n sis-in-law n i hope they live happily ever after :)

i was doing my data entry when i heard his voice.. haaa it's so distinctive i cant miss it.. so i went out of my rm n indeed it was jeff chang singing all his hit songs on the Spop show.. :)

well his was my first idol when i was in prisch.. i used to copy out all his lyrics and memorize them. and i still rem them till today.. it used to be me n MR's hobby to carefully tear out posters of singers frm teeny magazines and copy out lyrics of new songs for each other.. i still kept them till now :)

haa i started to like chen hao frm this show.. he acted as fangzheng.

this weekend has only got like 12hrs left.. but it's been a busy and hectic week i must say... friday was the last day of paeds posting.. my morning started off beautifully because of someone, and i spent the whole day slacking ard :P didnt really do much in the wards actually. met xy for lunch and had a great time, as usual.. peng you! hope u like the SBSP crystal-growing toy :)

we had some stimulation test in the renal ward and i had a prev bad experience during anaesthesia where my mannequin-model-mati died on me.. but luckily this time the SimBaby manage to survive :) and practiced intubation, bag n mask and mx of arrhythmias in children.. so that was fun

and i managed to turn a shark and 2 spidermen from the machine outside the paeds ward.. finally aft one month of posting.. :)

we subsequently went to army market where us ugandians shop for necessities and it was q an interesting shopping experience. however we met w an ahpek falling down flat on his face.. when i saw him.. he was lying motionless prone and the first thot that came to my mind was "oh shit." all of us put our many bags down on the floor and went to try to help.. luckily he was conscious and only suffered some injury to his oral mucosa i tink... we tried to take some hx and he kinda felt febrile... we waited for the ambulance to come before heading over to the concourse for our meeting and stayed there till starbucks was closing...

after the meeting, i felt that it's really great i'm travelling w these 5 other people i think.. no matter wat are our differences in views and the many things to be done, we stay in high spirits and discuss our things-to-plan one by one and all of us leave the meeting looking tired but q happy :) n i personally look forward to the next meeting.

sat was a crazy day at IT fair! the crowd and the crowd and the crowd. did i ever mention i hate crowds? haaa but well on my way to the IT fair after trying to cross the road to the convention centre, my slipper strap broke.. so ah tan n me.. i kinda hobbled towards carrefour to buy cheapo shoes to tide me thru the day... we walked by the build-a-bear shope.. http://www.buildabear.com.sg/
the bears look really pretty... they are kinda empty only w skin and there was this cotton-candy like machine churning the fluffy cotton that u can purchase to fill up ur bear bear.. it says give ur bear a heartbeat with just $9 or something like that. i wish i can give bk pple w asystole their heartbeat so easily at the A&E.

there was The Bear Promise®.. which was kinda cute.. but i cant rem it offhand. something about making ur own fren, literally.. strange

me n ser enjoyed a nice chickenleg n cinnamon rolls at tower 4 before heading to the fair.. and i bought my canon ixus 860 is..
whew it's really nice w the 28mm wide-angle lens but and nice 3 inch LCD screen but it sure cost a bomb.. i better make sure i take good care of it.. me n peifen walked away w our canon cameras and beng n serene walked away w their fujifilm cameras.. :) it was a fruitful night and we had a really late dinner at cartel where the service was questionable but the food wasnt too bad and i came home dead beat.. real tired.
i shall go play w my new camera soon! :)

oh and i found this website of cute cartoons tt i kinda like.. cause i abit morbid sometimes :p heh
